Nice app with a couple of missing features
Works nicely. Two strange things. Background mode only goes 10 minutes. Most of my graphs dont cover the whole cook as the app reset. Why not make it a lot longer? Also, you can zoom in on the graph, but not zoom back out again.
Meh
Better than bbq remote worse than pit pal. Changed review to 1 star. Times out when not in use. The clear app to get is pit pal. Works well.
Thumbs down
Ive been using the BBQ Guru and thought Id give this app a try. I could not it this app to work. It does appear to connect but will not let me add sensors. It pretty much does nothing. It also crashes quite often. I would not recommend this app.
Not Bad
Connection seemed to be pretty straight forward. Two changes would be extended background running. 10 minutes is way to low. Would be great if wifi settings were smart enough to tell if on local network or remote. I have to change to external IP when I leave the house.
Great concept, but one critical flaw
Bought this app to trend CyberQ-controlled BBQ smoking sessions over time. Expected the ability to let the app run for the entire cook duration so I could look back at meat temps for the last several hours of smoking. The app will only run for 10 mins in the background before dropping the connection, so unless your phone is unlocked and displaying the app, you lose the long term trend graph. Heres hoping the app developers will give us the option to run this in this in the background for more time. 24 hours would be nice.
